Advocacy
NAfME Hill Day For Music Education
At NAfME’s National Leadership Assembly every June, NMEA members travel to D.C. to meet with Nevada’s Representatives in Congress to advocate for music education in Nevada. NAfME is working hard to provide opportunities for MEA’s to meet with their representatives and share information on how to ensure all students can have music as a part of their education.
Music is What's Cool at School
Woodwind Day at CSN!!!
We want to give a big thank you to Dr. O'Connor and CSN for hosting such an amazing Woodwind Day. We appreciate you providing an amazing event for not only our students but also professional development for our teachers!!!
Channel 8 KLAS
LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) – The sound of music filled the air on the North Las Vegas campus of the College of Southern Nevada a couple of weeks ago. Hundreds of students of all ages represented more than 55 schools at the first annual CSN and UNLV “Woodwind Day.”
That includes flutes and their smaller sibling, the piccolo, oboes, clarinets of various sizes (regular, bass and contrabass), same for bassoons, all joining their saxophone friends in starting small and going bigger than big.

Support Music Education in Nevada
Support Music In Our Schools
The mission of the Nevada Music Educators Association (NMEA) is to serve music educators through professional development and mentorship, provide high-quality and enriching musical experiences for all students, and advance music education through advocacy at the state and national levels.

Every dollar you give helps us continue this vital work—empowering educators, enriching student lives through music, and ensuring that music remains an essential part of every child’s education.
Please consider making a donation today so that NMEA can continue to provide transformative experiences to students across Nevada.
Together, we can keep the music playing.
