Lets Celebrate Music In Our Schools!!!

"For more than 30 years, March has been officially designated by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) for the observance of Music In Our Schools Month® (MIOSM®), the time of year when music education becomes the focus of schools across the nation. Help us raise awareness of the importance of music education for all children – and to remind citizens that school is where all children should have access to music." Please join us in singing/playing our State Song! Just record audio or video of your group performing and email your recordings to MIOSM Chair Briana Valley by March 17th. Sheet music for multiple group levels is located on the Reno Philharmonic website. Click here to see a Flyer about the event. 

We want to Share Photos and Videos of MIOSM at Your School!!!

Photos/ videos of your classes celebrating MIOSM to go on our Instagram! Please tag them on Instagram @NMEAmusic or email them to MIOSM@nmeamusic.org.

Please make sure all students in videos/photos have media release forms for your school. Please include what group and school you represent!
